Scottish Baton Twirling Association

Welcome to the Official web site of the Scottish Baton Twirling Association (SBTA) we pride ourselves in being Scotland’s “First and Foremost” Baton Twirling Association.

The SBTA was formed in 1970 by a group of interested individuals and originally known as the Scottish Majorette Association (SMA). Since it’s early years the Association has been a leader in developing Baton Twirling in Scotland and is a Founder member of the World Baton Twirling Association (WBTF) which was founded in 1977.

Over the Years the SBTA has seen its athletes compete at high level of World Competition and many of it’s former athletes have gone on to coach and produce their own students who now compete successfully both Nationally and Internationally.

The Association has members across the Country in Ayrshire, Glasgow and North Lanarkshire and Argyle and Bute.
